Rander you get yer ass back here tommorrow bro.

i need some money jackson.

hell its monday.

;)

Giving you DAL and OVER wasn't enough??? :p

Both of these should be huge plays!!

DAL OVER 195 was my favorite play of the day and I was hoping PORTLAND would hang with them and get to at least 95 for the first half which has happened. PORTLAND has not been finishing a game on the road yet this year, at HOME, yes, vs SACTO, but not on the road. This team will get blown off the court by DALLAS in 2H of this one. Only 11 FT attempts the whole FH, many more pts will be coming from the charity stripe later in this game, so look for a much higher scoring 2H, probably at least 110, and DALLAS to win by 9-12 before this one is OVER...

FINLEY, DIRK, NASH with 13 total pts and you still have 46 at the half??? Pleasse..... only thing PORT has done is REBOUND, and they dominated the boards 29-14. BUT, I don't think it will be that way in 2H... MAVS will adjust, and once they take over the boards, PORT will be history....

BTW... sorry for those who had PORT or Under... not rubbing it in by any means. I couldn't catch a break earlier....

But for what it's worth, FINLEY, NASH, and DIRK nearly matched the entire PORTLAND team in 2H, 46-48. DAL did do a much better job on the boards, and at one point, were nearly even with them, until late, as PORT did finish with 8 more boards, 53-45.

Take note of teams playing well at home... KINGS, DALLAS, UTAH, and TORONTO for instance. When you get to play one of these teams at HT at basically pickem, GRAB with BOTH FISTS! ;) DALLAS has been winning with OFFENSE at home, and no matter how bad they may look early, count on them coming back. UTAH has been my 2H team for awhile now and I've pointed them out to you all numerous times. TOR surprisingly has been great at home, especially tough on DEF in 2H... TOR is a play in 2H along with Under it seems. DAL with the OVER. And the KINGS.... play em to win when DOWN at HT... play against them if UP big at HT.... they are a strange lot those KINGS. They can pile on the points to pull out a win, like vs GST the other nite. OR, piss away a win when leading big time, like vs PORT on the road last week.... but certain teams are showing a confidence while down at home. And these four certainly qualify....

KNICKS have come back from huge deficits last two games also... but NY is not a fav of mine....

P.S. sorry about all the belly aching earlier... IT just seemed like it was gonna be one of those nites...

Rivers let go by Magic after poor start
November 18, 2003, at 08:05 AM ET

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic fired head coach Doc Rivers after Monday's loss to Utah, dropping the team to 1-10, and named Johnny Davis as his replacement.

"We work in a bottom line business," said team chief operating officer John Weisbrod. "After a 1-10 start, it is our responsibility to do everything possible to create the best opportunity for success. We are thankful to Doc and are certain he will use this first experience on the bench to become a successful head coach." Rivers had been the Orlando coach since June 7, 1999 and produced a 171-168 record. In his tenure, the Magic have made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons. The 13-year veteran as a player, Rivers was honored as NBA Coach of the Year in 1999-2000.

Davis was named assistant coach of the Magic on July 11, 1999 and is in his fifth year with the team. Davis has spent the last 25 years in the league on the court and in the front office.

"Johnny is an experienced leader," added Weisbrod. "He is a solid teacher and prides himself on developing talent. We want to give him the opportunity to provide the new voice and direction that our team needs." The University of Dayton product, Davis has been assistant coach for 12 years.

He served with the Hawks, Clippers, Trail Blazers and Nets.

Davis, who also had a chance at being a head coach, went 22-60 in the 1996-97 campaign in Philly with the 76ers in his sole year with the team.

The Magic also released assistant coach Dave Wohl on Monday after their worst start in their 15-year history.

Quite the asenine comment from a newbie... so I'll not elaborate. I'll grant you that this may not have been intended for me, but if so, read on. You'll notice.... I posted the DAL/OVER play BEFORE losing the CELTS game and venting. Was not a chase play at all... I had posted SF -2.5 FH play in MNF, and my other plays essentially were a push for the nite, til the big win on DAL. My reasoning for the DAL play was also posted before vent, and if you'll read what I wrote, it basically went just as I stated.

I've been posting in here on NBA HT's a long time, and certain teams/coaches have tendencies... DAL is to pour it on at HOME, and PORT is to fall apart on the road in most cases. Last nite presented a perfect scenario for both plays, and both won easy. How can you NOT like that....

As for my record... do a search on my posts and tell me what it is. I don't keep it in NBA as most games I can't post so it's not an accurate depiction. I have my good days and bad days, but the good ones come more often than not... :moon:
