I just cancelled this reservation. Played the tournament Saturday and got knocked out in the 3rd level. :0003
Then I checked into my room and had a shit lunch. I had the Cod sandwich and there was no taste at all, even after loading it with tartar sauce. What garbage.
Then I played 1/2 NLH for about an hour while waiting for a 2/5 game. What a bunch of hillbillies playing that game down there. :mj07: The sunglasses, the hoodies, you name it. :mj07:
Finally the 2/5 game opened and I got a seat. Their max buyin is $500 so that's what I brought to the table. All the regs brought green and black chips as well. I'd say the average stack was $2500?
I figured I'd play my little stack for awhile and see how the game plays. Tough game with the competition. All regs that were decent players. Christ, you open a hand PF for $30-$40 and you get 3bet and 4bet. I was completely card dead continuing from the tournament and after about 2 hours my $500 was now around $150. It really wasn't a good game for me and I offered my seat to a guy that had been waiting to get in. At the same time 2 other seats opened up so I decided to stay but I got up to take a break and go talk to myself.
I went and got $1200 more in chips and took my seat again and played for another 7 hours or so. No cards at all the whole night. I think I played to the river 3 times total. I got pocket J's twice, my highest PP of the night, and AK twice. The rest of my cards were Q6, J8, T4, 38, 72, 48, K8, Q3 all night long.
Long story short I cashed out +$241 and was actually thrilled to leave a winner.
I cancelled for Thursday because I just don't like Horseshoe Southern Indiana because the poker room is on the lower deck and there's no phone service. In order to get my emails and texts, I have to go out of the casino completely which is a huge pain in the ass. And, if I leave my phone on down there on the lower deck the battery is dead within 30 minutes because it's constantly searching for a signal. I NEED my email at the least not to mention the internet for scores, bets, etc. Screw that place, never again.
I'm gonna check out the Cincinnati room and see how it is but if it's anything like HSSI I'm gonna have to pass playing there regularly as well.
I'll be in Cincy the 14, 15 and 16 of March and also have a room for the weekend after that as well, if anybody wants to meet up.
