I was below par player for over 10 years ... and have not played in 20 years now ... great game!

Thanks to everyone for the toughts...

Below Par...Nice, are you a member of the PDGA? Where did you Play?

Par is my friend, Love the Game...better with the stick than the Disc.

Steve I grew up in Huntsville and we had a couple courses there that we played a lot in college and after

moved to Nashville and hadnt played in 4-5 years and got in a drunk bet one night with guys that played all the time ... went out next day and shot 2 under using their discs and beat em all :0074

and havent played since

Don't understand how you could go that long without playing. You must not have that gene that my friends and I talk about that makes us fascinated by watching a disc rotate through the air. If you're baked and watching a tie dye disc, its almost a spiritual experience.

We use the expression, "banging chains." My question was whether when you were playing 20 years ago if they were still using trees for targets instead of metal baskets. Which they probably were in some places, but most places had switched to standard metal disc golf targets.

gotcha ... was not sure if you were talking about banging my discs off the trees or banging my real golf clubs off trees which answer would be both :mj07:

we actually had both kinds growing up ... the one at the university course was the big concrete barrel in the ground with a 4x4 in the middle ... the other was the standard chains and that is all I have seen since

may have to start playing again since there are 3 courses within 10-15 minutes of my place
