What a great way to spend birthday weekend...chasing winners at Churchill Downs.
Unfortunately I could not come up with enough winners to overcome the $8 beers Friday and Saturday (same beer was $4.50 Thursday), the $230 (prime) parking we split for 3 days or the $50 they gouge you to get herded under the grandstand in the paddock in a driving rain.....But all that said, I can't wait until next year!
Had a drink with the girl who rides Goldencents every morning and last year's Derby winning rider, Mario Guitierrez, who were there with Doug O'Neil.
Sunday was one long fucking day driving home from Louisville.
