By not paying an outstanding gambling debt to a casino online and living in the US.... It is an illegal debt and I heard they have no recourse whatsoever except to hound and bother you.....

My friend is getting letters and emails sent again from Bo Dog after 1.5 yrs again like it just started all over.... They stopped after a couple of months, gave up and whammo its started again.

I did here though that Bo Dog is now The New Bo Dog and maybe they are just trying to scrape up some old outstanding debt.

My friend's credit is flawless and he doesnt want to risk damage over 900 bucks but last year nothing became of it and an atty said they have no legal grounds..... Does anyone know about this?

How is "your friends" credit flawless if he declared bankruptcy? How did "your friend" get a credit line @ BoDod? I thought they were a post up only book?

PS

They may have "sold" the debt to a 3rd party collector who could place a collection on your credit- It would be pretty ballsy to do for a gambling debt, but if they did you will spend alot more than $900 trying to fight it from a legal stand point. Offer them $300

If he's that worried about his credit rating and a mere $900 bucks will set his mind at ease then what's the problem. Pay it and no more worries!

Thats what Im gonna tell him.... What is the status with the Bo Dog compared to THE NEW BO DOG.... Same people or what? And are they still having trouble paying people out?
same company and they never had problems themselves paying people, it was the payment processors that are the problem and not only with bodog. shit our friendly politicians can't be blamed for.

bankruptcy..divorce..debts.

he's in gambling recovery

no such thing as a mere $900 bucks.

plus he hasn't made the amends ...

a part of the answer is at least 2 meetings a day plus a full time job and a part time job..

ya work till your hands bleed then ya mail the payments to every Tom,Dick or Harry you owe money to til ya wipe the slate clean..then ya go to three meetings a day ..

hope your buddy gets is self back on the straight and narrow..

Drugs,alcohol and or gambling..

you abuse them.....

they will damn sure ABUSE YOU..

I hear what you're saying here but he filed bankruptcy that in most cases absolves him of all debt. What he didn't do was list the Off shore book. Now the book wants the money. Used to be you had a better credit rating after you filed. Don't know know.

Maybe certain bankruptcies work that way..But certainly not in my case..Some 12 years later I was fighting w/the the lenders for a mortage approval over the clearance date of mine..

we can only hope that this friend of Theboundbook is building is life back..

the road back starts w/paying..in all kinds of ways..
