Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Holy crap Chops,
The f*cking Liberals are a swinging with their samari swords, look out here comes another one from Vinnie, Tzu with a shot.............etc.
Fvck sake you jerkoffs, sounds like the guy was at his wits end, and needed to blow a little steam  Why all the assinine replies? :scared (there were some good ones) So he does blow his steam off in the correct way, throw the "kill" word out tounge in cheek, and a bunch of you get your fag liberal g-strings in a grundie :cursin: . If you cant give some constructive criitism, shut the hell up :nutkick

Chops, I have complete respect for you and what you did. You had no idea the kids would go off. You dont have older ones to give you that foresight. How the hell would you know they would do that? The way some of these Mr know it all liberal faggots came after you they deserve to be told to Fvck off :mj14: By the way, what do you do working the graveyard shift, my ex did that and it sucked.

Before you all attack me now, I have a two year old who thinks he is three, and a stepson who is 16 without his drivers license for a reason. Bring it

I was a product engineer for in the semiconductor business but with consolidation and much of our work being sent over seas to China was given an option, move to the manufacturing group to sustain the graveyard crew or find another job. As you can see, I didn't take the latter, I was one of the lucky ones who have survived through 6 layoffs. This October will be my 10 year anniversary with the place. I work 12 hour shifts, but only 3 nights of it and my fourth night is only 6 hours. And you're right, working nights suck, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Our plant, in Arlington, TX runs 24-7 and is one of the last bastions we have left of the manufacturing industry due to outsourcing. That's why you mainly see me in the forum alot during the backend of the week (my days off). So, thanks for the support man.

If you think I am a liberal you are clueless. And I wasnt implying thta he would do something to his kids. I just cant fathom a loving parent even to think those words, whether or not in haste.

Better to do that then something else, we are all almost pc names but family so venting is good but unfair to tohers but least you can say hey had a bad day i am sorry for taking it out on who was the first poster that pissed me off. Might feel like a jerk I have maby of times then say sorry and try to explain better, not so easy to do with person or family face to face.

I also have a heavt nag in the work out room weights won't take anger out but heavy bag will. can't kick woth left lrg likr i use to or with right but one leg is bettet then none, also hitting it does wonders just make sure you have hand wraps, and it can also take a baseball bat , they use it at many minor and college teams to teach you to drive through the ball, and trust me it is not easy and in 5 mins of swing the bat you will be donr, punching and kicking takes about 15 min compaired to the bat.

I know it sucks seen it with college olayers lot older then children, so it will work.

Then when you calm down after 5- 20 mins relax and then have your talk, money and fixing thing are not cheap I understand that have seen it more then one time with players, dogs and a stupid afraican grey parrot. So vent all you want better on use then them till you calm and ready to talk.

Try the bag or just go for a walk, they are your children and they can't be replaced.

Hang in there I have been there with collehe children, and pets but chldren is a little different they sometimes jist go bonkers, you did the right thing by least letting it out here then on them till you colled down.

Take care

Eroc

Chopsticks:

Just my 2 cents. My girlfriend has twin boys and we worked the graveyard shift as well. What we would do (when we would take a nap) is turn on the TV and play their favorite videos and say," We are taking a quick nap. Gary, you are in charge today. NOTHING will happen in the next hour, right?" Gary would be so proud he was in charge he would say,"RIGHT!"

We told Gary that he was to wake us immediately if there were any problems. We also told Shaun he would be in charge tomorrow AS LONG AS EVERYTHING WAS COOL TODAY!! He couldn't wait to be in charge tomorrow!!!! (They actually sat and watched their favorite videos and were actually quiet!) it's as if neither wanted to fuk up and break the "TRUST" barrier.

After the 1 hour powernap, we would reward Gary (which he was in charge today) with a quarter or 50 cents to put in his bank) and explain to Shaun that tomorrow was his "big day" to maintain peace throughout the house. After a while, they seemed to almost forget who was "in charge" and actually sat and watched their videos and it was GREAT!!!!

Making someone a "leader" for the day is what worked for us. Donna's stepdad was a few doors down, but we never seemed to need him. Her kids loved to watch videos (and this ALL happened in THEIR room!) and the "leader" for the day was to us, a GREAT idea!!!!

Good luck Chopstick!!!!!

Thanks for the advice, Tom. I will definitely give it a shot with the kids. Sounds like you've got this stuff down. Currently my kids are only going to church camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I'll have alittle more alone time for "napping" once they start kindergarten this fall and that runs 5 days a week from 8 to 3:30...Again, thanks for the great advice

i have a 4 yr old that i had to spend about 20k in legal fees just to get visitation and custody issues changed. i keep him every wed and fr for 11 hours which are the only 2 days his mother works. i can see how it could happen in that i usually take a short nap when i put him down around 130 in the afternoon. perhaps you should have them in the room with you if you try to nap again and have them do quet time or have them watch video when you nap. i envy your getting to spend so much time with them but i know they can be a handful. enjoy all the time you have with them and try to keep them insulated as much as you can from any problems with the mother. i can only imagine why you have custody and i hope they won't be too hurt growing up in a broken home. be observant of any further behavioral problems they may have and don't hesitate to get a child psychologist involved if necessary. by the way i won my 3 yr old court case on every issue and i now get over 100 overnights a year instead of 10 with my son. we are leaving soon to ride the great smokey mountain railroad and go fishing and canoeing in the mountains above asheville nc. take care and get my email from jack. i would love to share parenting stories with you. the best advice i can give you is go find them a rich stepmother. join parents without partners and meet single moms.

On the course!
Who the hell hasn't ever said, "I wanna kill my kids", at some time?

Does that really mean you want to kill the little bastards? I doubt it.

What about, "I'm gonna kick the shit outta you!" Is that an expression of anger, or a literal threat? I mean, I have never actually seen anyone kick another person until that person shit. Have you?

Have you ever really "fukced someone blind"? That's a trick I hope to avoid!

I think the majority of people who say, "How could you do such a thing", do it to feel better about themselves. I remember taking naps while the little ones watched tv. I am sure plenty of you guys have done similar things. Hell, people will leave their kids while they go to the corner for some smokes! happens all of the time, but you only hear about it when a tragic event happens.

Don't kick yourself over it, and make some adjustments in the future.

I can't really disagree with anyone on this thread who feels you shouldn't be taking a long nap in the middle of the day with two 5-year-olds running loose. You left them alone for "only 45 minutes". Holy crap man, they could have burned the house down in "only 45 minutes". How much time do you really think they would need to get in trouble? Obviously nowhere near 45 minutes...more like about 2. Suppose one of them turned on the stove or something?

I hear you Dbl

When my daughter was 5

I had her watching her favorite video. Sleeping on the couch just a short nap. She goes over and turns on the gas fireplace starter. When I figured out what was happening we were almost both dead.

Another time she hit me right between the eyes with a wooden mallet. I think she was watching the three stooges.

Naps are dangerous around 5 yr olds.

funny Stevie..

I was following the TJ rule and I had told her that she was in charge. that don't work good when there is only one. she knew she was in charge.

I said OK honey, let me just take a short nap, she says OK daddy...ten minutes later I get whacked between the eyes and hear a yuk yuk yuk .
