This message is about a 3.5 magnitude quake that struck beside hawaii. The OP is refering to the 8.8 that hit chile

Yeah, seems to be the wrong thing to look at. The 23rd is a few days ago. This one happened this morning. Predicting the largest waves since 1964. I was thinking back to two years ago when we were on vacation in Maui, in a condo right on the Pacific side on the ocean. I would guess this would have been a concern for that area. The airport in Honolulu shut down on a Saturday? Man, has to be some tourists with some messed up vacation plans, let along the locals with the more real concerns.
