with the braves top pitchers, with them being so far ahead in the race they will get 5-6 and out that is the same or even better then giving them a day off, they stay sharp get their work but don't go deep into pitch count where it can take toll when it counts.

so expect to see lot of bp work for braves and watch playing them or the low unders at times just a fyi:)

Flether not being a dick, but see no understanding in this heads up thread. The past month braves starters havent been going the distance. I cant stand the braves, but do u know what kind of bullpen they have??? Tell me what is wrong with these stats cause if im a manager im satisfied..........

Hammond 6-2, 1.30 ERA, 55.1 IP
Remlinger 7-0, 1.37, ERA, 52.2 IP
Ligtenberg 2-3, 2.00 ERA, 45 IP
Gryboski 2-1, 2.27 ERA, 39.2 IP
Holmes 2-1, 1.46 ERA, 37 IP

Spooneybarger needs a little work, but he is hardly used and Smoltz is 39-42 when handed the ball. Only 3 blown saves.

Yes I believe you are correct in the fact that the Braves have a great BP but what he is saying is that they will start to lose value later in the year. The lines will still be inflated due to the starter but they will most likely only be in for 5-6 innnings at most and therefore most of the value taken out of the play. Their Pen is probably better than alot of starters but they are going to be using them longer than they have been. This may cause some of their ERA's to rise a little and Fletch was just giving a heads up. I for one appreciate it and will definately take a closer look at the games before taking the Bravos the rest of the regular season. Alot of people put to much of an emphasis on starting pitchers when capping games and this is when it will come back to bite them in the ass. The end of the season is where capping gets really interesting because of the monkey wrenches that are thrown into the picture. THANKS again for the heads up Fletch, sometimes it can slip by some of us when we arent paying attention!
GL & PEACE, HAIL:D

talking mid aug and sept, and they will also have guys from aa and aaa get some work in the bp to give the bp sometime off here and there so everyone has a fresh arm for playoffs. just remember what i said. and you will also have guys getting their 2 ab's and into club house they are up a very big number so they willnot over work anyone and just try to hold the home field.

Fletcher I wasnt in any way saying that u were wrong, but i just dont see how the bullpen can just fall apart out of no where. As for me I will continue to bet the braves until i physically see a change........ i do appreciate your work!

Where did fletcher say that the Braves bullpen would "fall apart out of no where"????

I think you should re-read his posts, Mr. Sports, and take them for what he meant them to be, which is something to think about.

So Cal
Instead of the starter working a strong 7, he may exit after 5. That means the pen comes into play earlier. Cox isn't going to use 3 guys 6th and 7th, 8th, and Smoltz 9th when they are 15 games in front. that is what he is trying to say. Things won't be done as they are now. that is all.

you need to learn to read ,who said bet against the braves i have been betting them all year. i said watch the low totals and the high numbers with there top pitcher at times. once they get there work in they will set guys for remainder of game, not once did i say fade the braves i said just watch yourself, lay off the capps and and learn to read. I SAID WATCH THE LOW TOTALS AND THAT WAS IT. DAMN GETTING VERY TIRED OF THIS.LEARN TO READ BEFORE YOU JUMP DOWN AND TRY TO START THINGS.

...hey, Mr. Knucklehead, where did you learn to read? oh wait, you can't or didn't read...just spouting off at the mouth, again.

...where did anyone say "bet against the braves"??? ...where did anyone say they would all of a sudden "chit in the bed"??? ...eric never said to fade them...only to watch the low totals and high chalk on their big name pitchers.... that's all...take it for what it's worth. now either learn to read or shut the hell up!!!

Unlike your self-absorbed, non-reading, dumb ass who can't seem to take a "heads-up" for what it is, some of us appreciate fletcher's insights and comments!!!

...so just take your 82 posts and go sit in the corner for awhile....

p.s. sorry eric, didn't know that you had already replied. just ignore this guy and keep up the good work. some of us really appreciate all you do. thanks for the heads up....

Boy, oh, boy. This guy just can't seem to get it. Oh, well. Lucky for him, his real identity is a secret so he doesn't have to be embarrassed about his inability to grasp the obvious.

HEY DIPSHITS....... HERE YA GO with the braves top pitchers, with them being so far ahead in the race they will get 5-6 and out that is the same or even better then giving them a day off, they stay sharp get their work but don't go deep into pitch count where it can take toll when it counts.

so expect to see lot of bp work for braves and watch playing them or the low unders at times just a fyi <-------------------

IT SAYS WATCH PLAYING THEM, SO U MORONS CANT READ CAUSE I SURELY CAN. IM SAYING THERE IS NO REASONING BEHIND THIS, WHY SHOULD U BACK OFF THE BRAVES???? THE BULLPEN IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER TEAMS. WHEN I STATED MY OPINION AND INFO I WASNT TALKING SHIT, FOR U LOW LIFES WHO WANNA RUN YOUR MOUTH OFF BEHIND A COMPUTER CAUSE U THINK YOUR TOUGH............BUT WE ALL KNOW IN PERSON U WOULDNT DO SHIT!!!!! I KNOW MORE ABOPUT BASEBALL THAN ANYONE IN HERE COMBINED!

WELL STAY OUT OF IT, AND DONT RUN YOUR MOUTH OFF ABOUT ANYONE PERSONALLY. IM NOT ON HERE PUTTING PEOPLE DOWN, SO WHY SHOULD U?? I JUST DIDNT THINK IT WAS AN AREA OF CONCERN FOR THE BRAVES. JUST BECAUSE THEIR STARTERS ARENT LASTING THE FULL GAME, WHICH THEY HAVE BEEN GOING 7, WITH THEIR BULLPEN THEY CAN AFFORD TO DO THAT, NO NEED TO STRETCH THE STARTERS OUT WITH A GOOD PEN....THINK ABOUT IT MAKES SENSE. ISNT FLETCHER A COACH???? THOUGHT HE WOULD SEE THAT!

hey mrsports calm down is this really something to get in a fight about. he was just giving a heads up what seems obvious to you may have slipped the mind of an inexperienced bettor that just does not factor things like this in. what does the game between arizona and atlanta tonight have anything to do with what he said he said watch yourself when the money is high on the braves not the braves as dogs. another thing if you are gonna be mr everything dont use sentences like i know more than ANYONE in here COMBINED. good luck
