I like the reaching out to the pastor/church/fellowship of believers idea.The only problem is do you believe in God?No one can make you believe except God,no one else can.If you are a believer than seek a bible centered church that submits to Christs teachings.This can lead to a transformed life from the inside out.This is not an easy process and will take time,but with Christ at the center you can transform yourself.I did.I no longer gamble or do drugs.I can control my booze intake ,instead of my booze intake controlling me.In fact this is the first time I have visited this site in a long time and I came upon this thread .Who knows maybe God brought me here.Gl!

was sober this past Sunday when I was so tired and hung over and burnt out. Not proud to admit Ive been back at it the past 2 days. I think I know why its so damn hard this time around. I was unemployed for 1 year and 8 months. Everyday was a Holiday. I was getting damn near the same paycheck from the Govt as I did when working. It was during this time my Wife and I had major problems. I got so used to doing nothing. Drinking, Gambling and extra circulars were an everyday thing. Didn't matter when I woke up. Just had to get the Kids from school. I was still able to bust ass around the house, had dinner ready almost every night and not a care in the world. Longest 20 months of my life without a job and marital issues.. Now have a job I love. No one really watching over me and on the road most of the week.. Bars, Casinos and OTBs are fucking everywhere... Ill be on the road out of town all day tomorrow and here I am, sitting in my basement having another beer and bump. Ill wake up tomorrow just like I always do like everything is fine. Shave, shower, grab some coffee and be off to work.

You don't know me from anyone but I will tell you that you are the only one that thinks tomorrow will be like any other day. People are more observant than you think. I am not in any position to tell you what to do but I do know that kids and coke don't go together and you need to figure that out fast because your kids most certainly will if you continue. Imagine that conversation. Figure it out brother, not what caused it or what ever the fuck that unemployed crap excuse was, but how you are going to fix it. Seriously man, I like your posts and still do, just think you need to find an answer. It sure as hell isn't anything that you have tried so far. Imagine that conversation brother, fuck, fix it dude. I understand it's a new job, but if they have employee assistance, it is confidential. Good luck and get to it.
