Does anyone know how long it takes by car from Las Vegas to Reno Nevada

Didn't drive it myself last year, but some of the guys I was bowling with in Reno did. They said never again. Not a straight shot as you have to navigate around the mountains.
Took them 7.5 hrs and they only stopped for gas.
Too much time away from the craps table for me to make that drive-- especially when there are hourly, one hour flights for 99 bucks on southwest between the two cities...:toast:
