That's why they have that rule?? If there were no fans there would be no fan rule? The fan rule is for fan interference in the field of play, over the yellow line is not in the field of play so fans can reach for ball once NOT over yellow line...in this case the fan was Not Leaning over the yellow line..HR in my book.
I guess it's automatic if the fan reaches over the yellow line but in this case it was a judgement call. :shrug:
He was interfered with IMO.
I'm curious to hear what MLB has to say about the play and the call.
You and I know as much as these announcers do. Where did he come up with the yellow line thing? Do all ballparks have a yellow line? I don't know, I'm asking.

So...I checked with a buddy, so long as the player is attempting to make a catch, even if in the crowd, the crowd is not allowed to interfere with the player. I still question this, but will take his advice.

Not sure what you mean. I am accurate with my record unless I made an error. I know I pushed the first game but I was counting on that, that's why I got totally pissed off with another 2 out, 2 strike hit in the last inning. I can't tell you how many times that happened to me this year. Drives me totally nuts.
