I THINK if Baltimore wins next week, they get the final spot regardless to what happens in the other game. If the Ravens win, only NE and Miami could tie them at 11-5 (one of which, will win the division. I believe it's NE based on common opponents)

So....if they end up tied with Miami...they win the tie break on the head to game early in the season. If the Ravens win, and end up tied with NE (not even sure that's possible), they have a better conf record in the tie breaker.

It looks like the odd man out could be Miami, who could end up 11-5....lose the division to NE based on common opponenets, and also lose the wild card based on the head to head loss. the only way they get in is a win, and loss by Balt OR NE.

That's not in stone....just me playing armchair commissioner . With losses here and there the possibilities are endless!

On the NFC side, I THINK Dallas controls it's destiny with the final WC spot...

I don't think Baltimore has any say in who wins the div for NE/MIA.

If Mia wins next week, they win div!

It is unbelievable that Dallas controls its own destiny after the way they played last night.

NEW ENGLAND HAS TO WIN AND HAVE EITHER BALT OR MIAMI LOSE TO GET IN.

DEN/SD GAME.....WINNER WINS THE DIV ............SD WILL WIN AND GO TO PLAYOFFS AT 8-8

WHILE SOME 11-5 TEAMS DON'T!

THAT'S WHY THE BCS MAKES SENSE!
