another bad coaching decision... don't this coaches work on returns with no time left. No guys behind the guy getting the ball.
I know the chance of a return is slim to none, but when the last guy has the ball is goes from slim to none to no chance at all

I agree. Its like coaches yell and rant about the smallest things. I've seen things like field goal attempts and everything looks perfect, the kick is good, and the damn coach is on the sideline mad as hell.
Nothing wrong with wanting perfection but its more like they just want to act like they know so much or something.
They make players bust their ass all week and then its the last play of the game and pretty much concede.
Sure, prob. not going to run that kick back. But do something like Cal did against Stanford in '82. Put 6 or 7 option QB's in and start the fun. Or tell the guy to fall on it and see if we can get one play. Jeez.

It also pisses me off so bad to see a team down by 10 points with about 30 sec's left and they won't kick the field goal. They will end up running a play with 5 sec's left and maybe even score to lose by 3 rather than give themselves an ounce of a chance to recover the onside kick and score to tie it up.
I know it would suck to miss a FG in that situation but hey, your going to lose anyway. Might as well take one scenario that gives you a chance and go with it.
