A buddy brought me over a push mower when i really didn't want it. Well i took it and first pull i can't budge it. He was with me while i was doing this and said everything was fine with it and he couldn't believe what was happening. Every time i try to pull the rope i get a little pull and that is about it. Sometimes i can get a decent pull but then i have to have someone snap my shoulder back in place. You know what is wrong with this mower before i chuck it cause i really don't want to dump much money into it. Thanks.

sounds like the motor seized..
recycle it..if the recycle yard is close by
drain the oil first..any auto parts store will take the oil.
if not..set it next to the curb..will be gone before you can say wow.
3 dudes thru our area every week collect recycle for cash..
you can open that bad boy up and try to turn the shaft..but more than likely it is shot..

The guy said it was working fine the last time he used it that is what is so puzzling. He wasn't selling it to me he was goving it to me. Not that u thought that but im sure some guys did.
guy moved in with me Vinny. He is moving to Florida next spring and sold his house. Just helping the guy out for a few months till he retires. U and your angles :facepalm: I also have guys in my neighborhood who will take it as soon as i put it out to the curb. There iisn't anything these guys will not take :mj07:
Maybe those are the same guys that took your brothers guns when your last roommate set you up :shrug:

try to turn the blade..may unseize..they will sometimes.
use some protection on your hands..even dull will mess ya up
