I don't think that I have said that a bettor can't get down a $5000 wager on an NFL game but that an UNKNOWN player walking up to the window is going to have a hard time doing so. Of course there are a handfull of players that are known by the sportsbook managers that are allowed to make wagers of this size but it is not common and there are certainly not a hundred or more people waiting in line to do so.
