FACT: The Maryland Terrapins STICK OUT LOUD. The Terps were routed 38-7 last year by this same Owl team. 2 more problems for the Terps this year. 1) Terps are riddled with injuries including losing CJ Brown, the starting QB that sent Danny O'Brien packing, and 3 key defensive players (key as in they can walk and chew gum). 2) This game is at Temple, last year's beating was at Maryland.

The Terps had an impressive (NOT!) opening day beating mighty William & Mary, the powerhouse from the CAA (NOT!!) coming off an impressive 5-6 season, Final score 7-6.......:facepalm: :facepalm: The Terps managed an anemic 235 total yards.

Bottom Line: The Maryland Terrapins STINK!! I do not believe that they win another game this year. Temple has plenty of weapons to do the job (including receiver Jalen Fitzpatrick, who is a big play maker) in front of a fired up home crowd.

This one is over at half time!!

I agree with Temple winning but I dont think there will be enough points scored in the game to cover -10 these teams are going to combine for less then 30 IMO and it is supposed to be really bad stormy weather so its going to be ground and pound

Thanks for input gents-

Bad storms will not reach Philly area until between 4-7pm. So game will be dry except for a possible small shower and that is doubtful.

The Terps have been talking all week, saying that revenge is on their minds. In reality, Coach Edsall had to "simplify" the offense this week so that true freshman QB, Perry Hills could cut down on mistakes. If you saw the game last week, I don't know how much simpler it could be made. A vanilla offense will NOT move the ball on the Owls.

Also, the Kicker for Maryland, Ferrer is listed as doubtful. I can clear that doubt up, He WILL NOT play. The back up kicker was around 60-70% accurate in practice this week.....on extra points!!

Terps are way too beat up. They can come in with all the motivation in the world but they will not win this game. The Owls running game is a beast and now they can throw also. This is a BETTER Temple Owls team this year then the one that beat them by 30+ last year.

I believe the general opinion out there is that Temple caught Maryland in a let down situation last year coming off an opening day win v. Miami Hurricane. Yes, that is true. The Owls will not sneak up on anyone this year, especially the Terps. But, they are the Better team by far!! Maryland is getting used to losing. If Temple gets up early, and I believe they will, do the Terps have the intestinal fortitude to dig in and battle back with a TRUE freshman QB playing on the road for the 1st time. I say no. I say long day for MD.

i live in maryland...and they aren`t a good team....rattler was right....their qb is out and they couldn`t get out of their own way last week...

but how bad is temple?....60 yards in penalties...2 turnovers in their first 4 plays...maryland just scored a t.d. on a snap that went past their qb.....then he picks it up and runs it 20 yards for a td and wasn`t even touched by a defender....

good grief... temple is totally disorganized...:

I appreciate the support tremendously. It was a loss, but its 1 game.

I DO A LOT OF DIGGING BEFORE I POST ANYTHING HERE. Ultimately, that what is great about this site. You read everyone's opinion and then, YOU MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP!! I do my best to contribute, and never try to just pull words out of my ass. That's just hot air and not helpful. I try not to post what everyone else does, including the greats like Thunder. In fact he had Temple and nailed it.His reason for the pick was the line was out of whack. My opinion was based on other info. That allows the reader to decide for himself what makes more sense to him and what is he willing to put his money on.

I still stand behind all the info I gave out. Maryland sucks, their secondary is an absolute joke and the 1st game they play against a proficient passer, they will get lit up. The 1st half was a total disaster. Everything that could have gone wrong for Temple, did go wrong. Temple dominated the 2nd half, (24-3 run) actually got into position to win the game 29-27 (not ATS) and then shot themselves in the foot again.

Anyways, thanks for letting me be a part of your community. Its an honor.
