I was just giving my take on the video,that's all.
One could argue that Support our troops is NOT an empty slogan.

Okay Rusty. Here you go. It's an empty slogan because 99.999999% of Americans support the troops. The real debate is the policy. You see that is the debate that the government doesn't want you to have. Did you even listen to the clip?

I watched it and got .My point the percentage you state might not be as high as you think.Sadly there are people and organizations who disagree with both the policy and the troops.Look no further than The Westboro Baptist Church.

"Support the troops" actually meant something during WWII when every American pitched in to support the war effort in every way imaginable.

However, today's military has been corporatized. It's big business and the military industrial complex requires only two things of Americans: pay your taxes and vote for politicians that support the ($$$) agenda of the MIC.

Btw... I know there are people and organizations that actually do proactive things to support our troops but I'm referring to the average American.
