I'd love to say that the USA is worth a shot in a pride game. But even the coach knows that their personnel is overmatched. Looks like the Russkies w/ Datsyuk & Co should roll there.

at pick i would bet on Canada. They don't have to win that game to finish first in their section, just a tie and it's done but i see them at -0.5 goal. If you could get them at pick.. I see a 2-2 game here...

Congrats, 1837, on the Russians and the Canadians. 32 Americans declined invitations to this event, so we got exactly what we deserved. Good effort by the boys today, but still not enough.

1837, my picks have pretty lame in this tourney. But like I said, most of em have been small recreational plays, so not much harm done.

For Wednesday, here's what I'm backing. 2 more small plays:

Finland(-0.5) -120
...They're rolling. Should get it done in front of home folks to seal the Group.

Japan(+0.5) +510
...One more shot w/ this team. Were competitive vs Germany, overmatched by Slovakia. Proud nation, just feel like they'll give a solid effort vs a more even opponent.

Yes. Gonna be some great games in the remainder of the tournament. Some real powerhouse teams, and realistically maybe 6 teams could win it. Have enjoyed the tourney, but man, I can't buy a win to save my life. Even the -500 vs Belarus was a sweat.

Tried USA/Slovenia UND 6.5 (+115). Slovenia has averaged 15 SOG/gm. Just can't see them getting more than 1 or 2. And the US lineup is just not potent. Americans would have to bust out to go over, and I'll bet that they don't.

1837, you see any value in the Japan/Belarus gm under 6.5? Rare spot for Belarus as heavy fav. They are a defensive-minded team (3.00 GAA). Tough to envision them lighting it up.

Your under in USA-Slovenia seems good. Anyhow, i have a bad feeling on today's game (bad vibes...) so i won't be playing them. My leans are on 3 plays (Slovakia,Russia and UNDER Usa-Slovenia) but i'm not betting anything. Let's see how i would have ended...

Canada under 6.5 See Canada out to tune up defensive system, not run up score. Also if they take Danes lightly and it ends up close, don't see it as 5-4, more likely 2-1, 3-1 type of game.

Just can't win a game in this tournament. If anybody needs a jinx, let me know. Pet, maybe I can get the Finns off the schnide next game.

Think I'll cheer for the Finns and Canadians the rest of the way, so that Pet and 1837 will be happy at least.

Damn, the return on Denmark(+0.5) was nice for anyone who had it. About +1600.

our team isn't very good right now and i'm going to play against them in some point, swedes are getting their sh!t together and looked good against russia that allso has good team.
