This exemplifies the reason that seatbelts are installed in vehicles and why it's a good idea to use them. Had he been belted in, there would have been a chance at survival. As it was, he was probably dead upon impact onto the highway and, as stated above, probably had no knowledge of being struck and dragged.

This person was obviously stupid but can you imagine how horrible the oncoming driver feels and the nightmares he/she must have?
