I am in that spot

Yesterday I had the cubs blow an 8 run lead, but at least it was in the 6th

Today I had Montreal blow a 4-0 lead, thanks to Vidro getting hurt, Mordaceai's big error and a big 2 out hit by F Lopez.

I also have oak and they blow everytime I play them, which isn't often obviously

It's just unreal, why do my teams gag daily, makes me sick

I know its supposed to even out, but i swear i've had a lot more bad losses than lucky wins...

Everyone goes thru that, just dont get caught up chasing your money. Lower your unit of play if you have to. Saying that your due can go on for awhile. Take care and good luck

Chump, I think everyone has gone through stretches where many bad beats seem happen. You'll rebound. The key is not to let your emotions dictate the next play. It takes self-control to not force a play or double down when your face is flush and you are pissed. Hang in there.

Chumper..........Hang in there. I would cut my unit $ a bit if you are going thru a bad week or month. If it is season long or more, that can be a problem. Some people are just lucky & some are not. I have met a handful of both...........but my (old) high school bud Richie C. pops into mind tight now. I swear, we would go to the track at night and he would bring only $2 , $3 or $4 with him, enough for one or two bets.........and most of the time he would come home with $50 -$60 in his pocket. I would bring $30 and come home with the $2. (remember, I said high school........a long long time ago !!) Was he a good capper........hell ,no. he didnt know squat.......but he was lucky.........always won the photo finishes etc. Another comes to mind..........my girlfriend Sandy's mom.......didnt know anything about anything.........but won at bingo, lottery, horses on a very steady basis. She was truly lucky. I guess the point I am trying to make is that you have to decide if you are truly one of the unlucky players. At one time I thought I was. So, what I did was write down a little scenario of all the close games etc. that I had played. I found that helpful in determining that I had a bunch of fortunate stuff happen , also. Anyway, if you think you are truly unlucky, you really need toconsider playing just for fun, lunch or dinner money. Or, take a couple or a few years off. (I have ) Really clear your head. Let those teams that are costing you change. Let the jinx players retire (everyone has them..........mine are J Conine, he just kills me. He has cost me more units than anyone the past couple of years. This year it seems to be Terry Shumpert of all people........ Then try again. If you consider yourself middle of the road lucky, like most of us are ( win some, lose some) it will all even out. It really will, the law of large numbers will take over after you have made enough wagers (hopefully for around the same $ amount for each)Even tho it has been going tough.........it is true it will even out.
Unless you are a very serious player, your per game wager amount should never be as high as to cause you a lotta grief if you lose it.
Everyone runs into it. sometimes the unlucky losses glare more than the fortunate wins.......it may depend on one's outlook or personality. The latter part of this week alone, I had my HOU under get shattered with a grand slam with 2 out & 2 strikes in the botom of the 9th. Then S DIEGO blew a 5-0 & 8-3 leads for me last nite. And, I almost had the CUBS today & yesterday.
Take a little break, you determine the length..........enough to clear your head & unflush your cheeks. Then go back to finding some solid plays & Hit Em For Me............ THE HITMAN

Chumper, don't let it get you down it is the ups and downs of baseball. Had cubbies thhe other day and Texas today.(God I must be NUTS), but I also had Toronto(sorry) So it does go both ways. Just hang in there and the guys are right cut back on your units or step back for afew days. I usually mark down all my games and then try to get some input from the other cappers and then narrow down from there. The guys/gals are great here and always willing to help out. Best of Luck keep your chin up. :)

take a few days off and enjoy the time away, its all most all star break and thats where mid season burn out comes in,so take off till break is over because the 2nd half is a real grind.

so have some fun and time for yourself and you will get back on track 2nd half.

MANY GOOD REPLYS

The difference between winning and losing is a very fine line at times.

We all go thru them, the key is handicapping yourself and the results both PRO & CON. Someone once said " The harder I work the luckier I get"

I cap every game side and total then compare to some of the best here to see the studs and the duds I pick and eliminate from there. Six heads are better than one, my extra five heads are Madjack, Fletcher, Kcwolf, Ndnfan & Raymond. Think about stepping up to the gamblers data site for a week I did and did learnt something will probably do it with another guy on there for one week in July.

Finally don't be afraid to go with your gut or a system you may develope that works. My MBA system spit out the OVER 11 in Texas today a decent winner.

The author of a famous weekly tip sheet says out of 100 games we are subject to the bounce of the ball half of the time or 25 winners and 25 losers with no control due to handicapping, the other 50 if we can cap 30 plus winners and only 20 losers we will make money! However after following some of the before mentioned I believe they do a little better than that.

Also key to have a money management system conservative enough to keep you in the game long term enough to improve and reap the benefits.

IMHO
Best of luck ;)

Iam sure you know these are "Bad Beats"and there is no limit on them, just as in any casino game......

What I do is to piggyback another capper,...for a few days or cut back my bets....

Bad runs will always be with us......

AND----If it really hurts you emotionally or financially...much as I hate to say it.........you might look at another hobby.

Because It can happen to anyone any time AND IT WILL!

"THATS WHY THEY CALL IT GAMBLING"

WHY?
