Chumper..........Hang in there. I would cut my unit $ a bit if you are going thru a bad week or month. If it is season long or more, that can be a problem. Some people are just lucky & some are not. I have met a handful of both...........but my (old) high school bud Richie C. pops into mind tight now. I swear, we would go to the track at night and he would bring only $2 , $3 or $4 with him, enough for one or two bets.........and most of the time he would come home with $50 -$60 in his pocket. I would bring $30 and come home with the $2. (remember, I said high school........a long long time ago !!) Was he a good capper........hell ,no. he didnt know squat.......but he was lucky.........always won the photo finishes etc. Another comes to mind..........my girlfriend Sandy's mom.......didnt know anything about anything.........but won at bingo, lottery, horses on a very steady basis. She was truly lucky. I guess the point I am trying to make is that you have to decide if you are truly one of the unlucky players. At one time I thought I was. So, what I did was write down a little scenario of all the close games etc. that I had played. I found that helpful in determining that I had a bunch of fortunate stuff happen , also. Anyway, if you think you are truly unlucky, you really need toconsider playing just for fun, lunch or dinner money. Or, take a couple or a few years off. (I have ) Really clear your head. Let those teams that are costing you change. Let the jinx players retire (everyone has them..........mine are J Conine, he just kills me. He has cost me more units than anyone the past couple of years. This year it seems to be Terry Shumpert of all people........ Then try again. If you consider yourself middle of the road lucky, like most of us are ( win some, lose some) it will all even out. It really will, the law of large numbers will take over after you have made enough wagers (hopefully for around the same $ amount for each)Even tho it has been going tough.........it is true it will even out.
Unless you are a very serious player, your per game wager amount should never be as high as to cause you a lotta grief if you lose it.
Everyone runs into it. sometimes the unlucky losses glare more than the fortunate wins.......it may depend on one's outlook or personality. The latter part of this week alone, I had my HOU under get shattered with a grand slam with 2 out & 2 strikes in the botom of the 9th. Then S DIEGO blew a 5-0 & 8-3 leads for me last nite. And, I almost had the CUBS today & yesterday.
Take a little break, you determine the length..........enough to clear your head & unflush your cheeks. Then go back to finding some solid plays & Hit Em For Me............ THE HITMAN
