New Orleans

I posted already in one thread or another that Japan will rebuild, and they will do so with more dignity than the gulf coast did following Katrina. Of course, New Orleans is chock full of uneducated welfare recipients, so probably not the best example, as my guess is other areas of this country would have handled things better than my peeps did.

On the course!
Plus, they will have that detroyed country rebuilt in a week and a half.

I just pray that they don't call in their markers from the U.S., being that they are the second largest holders of our worthless debt.

In my life I have lived in the USA for 9 years. And in those 9 years they consisted of 7 different states.

Plus I have been to approximately 43 different US States.

Not to mentioned travelled the world and visited over 50 countries.

I think that should qualify me to give an opinion on what Joker said.

Wait, all along I thought you spent your entire life wearing a spiffy blue shirt in an igloo community outside of Iqaluit? I guess I had you mixed up with IE:facepalm: Feel free to proceed with my blessing:)

If I had my blue shirt I would be in my igloo and never leave. Valid point:142smilie

Life was so much better when I had my spiffy blue shirt.

And for what its worth I did have an ex girlfriend from New Orleans who stole my heart and crushed it.

So yes I am a tad bias in my opinion about those in New Orleans stealing things.:SIB

But seriously I guess none of us should judge. If there was a natural disaster and you were all alone in front of a bank that had it vault door open. How many of us would walk in there and check it out? Not a sole around, entire town in rubble and you are standing in front of a wide open bank vault.

How many of us would keep walking:shrug:

Absolutely no looting in Sendai according to my brother. He is at ground zero in Sendai and has waited in food/water lines a few times already.

It just isn't in their culture to do such things. He would be the first to describe how there are plenty of downsides to Japanese culture, emotionally, psychologically etc. But in a situation like this it comes in handy that they are so respectful and orderly.

If I was unlucky enough to be Canadian, I'd do everything I could to get out of there as well. Glad you were able to overcome your situation. It's inspiring :0074
