The reason I ask is our company has had to slowly purchase all automatics to get CDL B & Chauffeur drivers. Our CDL A Tractor- drivers obviously know but prefer automatic & I understand why.
Yup !! Ever since i had my 1964 Red Impala Super Sport 327 Convertible.

Interesting, I had a 65 SS 327-300 4 barrel, man I loved that car.
Had exact same car and color w ith a 283. That was my commuter car to Chicago during my Race Track days. Racked up 249,000 miles on it . Some rust started bottom of rear window...sold it and it went another 50,000 before it finally died.![]()

Yes sir. I also prefer automatic
I'm 41. My dad made me learn to drive and eventually take the driving test for my license on my 15th birthday in a car with standard transmission. Even though I haven't driven standard transmission regularly at any point in my life, it is similar to riding a bike, in that once you learn, you don't lose it.I take it that most of you are in there 40's ? I was driving at 15 on a regular basis but my 1st experience was in a old Chevy pick-up with 3 on the column.
i can. car or truck, even unsynchronized gearbox, no problem.
i prefer automatic too, specially modern ones
