Duke Energy is reporting more than 3,500 customers in Columbus have lost power, most of them south of State Road 46 and over to the Brown County line.
Duke spokesman Chip Orben said a tree has fallen on a power line supplying the Terrace Lake area and it is unknown how long it will take to repair the damage.
About 2,200 of the customers out of the 3,500 with power outages are in the Terrace Lake area, Orben said.
