I saw it this past weekend because I have a girlfriend obsessed with the books. I didn't really know too much going into it, but it was a pretty good movie.

I paid $7.50 for the adult matinee tickets and I don't feel like I got ripped off.

There are some neat visual scenes and the costumes are kind of cool. I can't really make a judgment on how it compares to the book and if it did it justice, but talking to my girl after, she said it was fairly accurate but they didn't go in-depth with some characters and relationships as the book did (but tough to get all that into a 2.5 hour movie)

2.5 hour movie says it all for me. That's a rental all the way. No way in hell I can make it that long, especially if it's crowded.

The wife and I took it in Friday night. She is reading the books and was very excited to see it. The movie is entertaining but not great by any stretch. THe hunger games themselves were pretty cheesy. Did not seem like a long movie which says something for it. If your not into the books I would give it a pass.

I am going to go see this movie on Friday with the GF. Not really sure I want to go but I promised. I like more comedy movies.

Same here. I was pushing for 21 Jump Street, but she said I chose the movie the last two times, so I guess that's the way it goes sometimes.

I'll be curious to see people's reviews/criticisms, including your's BP. I'll chime in on Saturday after I go.

Where it is real F ing COLD
Ok, This was a decent movie, it was kind of slow, had some crescendo, then slow. They really could of trimmed 45 minutes or used the 45 minutes to make it better. The storyline was interesting but it could of been a kick ass movie! The killing scenes weren't as gruesome as one might think yet the thought was somewhat disturbing

7.5 outta 10 for kickserv.

Lenny Kravitz and Elizabeth Banks were good. Some of the kids were also very good.
