Fret not, guys. The levee system is way improved since 2005. Not where it needs to be, but well on the way. Sustained winds in the city should not exceed 75mph. Those outside levee system should evacuate, but greater New Orleans should hold up nicely.

Looks like my son and his bride are stuck down there on their honeymoon.

They liked Acme Oyster so much they had lunch there today.

I can't get through to Delta. Is the airport definitely going to be closed on Wednesday and should I book them another night?

Delta online shows the fight to be good as scheduled.

Keep hearing bad shit on TV.

Hope everything is exaggerated. You and your family stay safe. :0074 :0074

I don't understand, I guess the news reporters need bad news so much that they are rooting for disaster.

The forecast has been that this would be a Cat 1 all along and pretty much for about three hours and then die back down.

I guess the election is just not getting the ratings so they need a good disaster to get people watching.

They make me sick. So obvious they are rooting for a huge disaster. They are having a hard time hiding disappointment that this storm isn't picking UP speed and power. Ridiculous.

No worries, kod. Levees are more sound now.

Just lost power. Kids are bathing. I'm having an Abita strawberry lager. I'm definitely low on ice.

Gusts are periodically hitting 40s. Vinyl siding from somewhere else is now in my yard.
