[/QUOTE]In fact Denver and Indy were 2 teams that went into Jacksonville and won.........a task Seattle was unable to do
I seem to recall that Pittsburgh hosted Jacksonville and lost 23-17......so what's your point ??

:welcome: Buck i, the only thing you know about pittsburgh is that it's 45 minutes from your home. pittsburgh may win your moneyline bet, but they won't cover the spread. the seattle offensive line will be THE best that pittsburgh faces all year, there are three all-pros.

:king don, luckily you teach band and not English, your spelling is atrocious. dimensional, offense, and wilson. you don't even know the names of your steeler players! you are correct, washington had no offense, and carolina only had steve smith to contend with, but seattle's offense is much different. the leading rusher in the nfl, an all-pro qb, and three all-pro linemen. this steeler d is not invincible, they did lose five times this year. they have played well in the playoffs, but were lucky carson palmer was hurt on the first play. kitna put up 17 and he didn't play much all year..

Big Red, Steelers were probably lucky Palmer got hurt. Secondary is not as good as many D's but front seven are top 3, (read that at another forum) spells long day for Alexander which will make them more pass oriented. If and probably a big if, the D line and backers get pressure we will see more of the same as the AFC playoffs if not then Steeler?s secondary will get burnt. Personally I don't see this happening but we'll see that?s why they play the game. I really don't care if Seat covers, just as long as this homer's team wins the super bowl. By the way, spelling does not count on this forum but I will use spell check just for you!!! (Ha,ha)It is probably my typing that sucks! Don't forget the last time you bet against the Steelers in the super bowl, YOU LOST, REMEMBER??????????????????????

Yes.........with Maddox at QB and pratically giving away the game...........

By the way.............the point I was making was that people were comparing Seattle to Indy and Denver..........so.......I was pointing out a common opponent on their home field and the results by each team.............may not mean anything just something to consider..........

Since youre such a Seattle proponent..........

I will ask you a honest question...........Does it concern you at all that when you look at Seattle's rushing numbers on the road the last 2 years they seem to be a very average rushing team.......no where near as good as the perform at home. Just something I noticed when capping this game. I kind of stood out to me that there rushing yards per attempt on the road was not all that great.

Has Seattle really beat a quality opponent on the road the last 2 years?

Hmm. wonder what all the Steeler backers would do if Big Ben came up lame in the first quarter.

:scared really starting to worry, this 2005 pittsburgh team is drawing comparisons to the 1927 yankees of baseball, why are they even playing this game? if i were the seahawks i'd go home now and save the embarrassment. :mj07:

I haven't seen anybody compare the Steelers to the '27 Yankees. I watch a fair amount of sports channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, NFL Total Access) while I work at my computer, and it seems the talking heads are pretty evenly split on who they like. Even Clem's poll has the MJer's close to the middle.

It should be a good game, but I've seen other games I thought would be close, ending up one sided. Time will tell.

Manning and Plummer could'nt deal with it...........and they both had better olines and are both better QB's than Hass.........

manning's o line fell apart right around the time of the sd game. not to say they are not good, but something was wrong.... some of teh experts blamed the lack of coverage on peyton - due to his play calling/where the blocking was suppsed to be. either way, the colts had success running against pitt in the 2nd q, but never really ran after that drive. i am sure the score had something to do with this.

plummer struggled against NE in denver as well. he was not that impressive at all. den def/special teams won the game against NE.

i am not sure how good SEA oline is, but i do think they will play better than pitt's 1st opponents. however, if pitt stops the run early and sea is passing for 3 straight q - their off line will more than likely struggle to.

pitt didn't dominate cinncy until the 2nd half of the 1st game.

all of their games (success) is due to their ability to get the lead, stop the opponent's run game, and lastly pressure the other teams's qb - i think that the 3 all work together. jmo

ps. pitt has done a great job with few to's as well.
