Odd they get you on you about your pastors sermon Buddy

--but adore a guy that calls his radical racist pastor- his uncle/mentor for 20 years.

Your next step in your transformation will be defining "liberal logic" :)

"G D America"--"Pray for me Jessie" :142smilie

You are such a dork. I will pray for you.

I did, huh? :mj07:

I'll always be a minion, but buddy did kind of light you up.

Hell of a "same thread come back" from someone who changed his entire political stance based on an 6-7 minute speech and tells others to use common sense in the same post.

You'll come back, though. I've got faith.

lol-

Yes, he 'lit me up,' in his way, which made it even more funny coming from a man that has a drug dealing daughter and that her getting 'out of it' 'showed him the light'. :mj07:

I like to get Buddys views. Seriously.

He had always been somewhat normal.

That ended a couple of years ago.

If you have a problem, WE have a problem.

That said, yeah, of course, 'Buddy' spanked me up one side of the street across to the other side.

:mj07:

I'm just taking everyone else's word for it. The masses are always right, right?

One of the best threads i ever read here. At first i thought Buddy was joking. Then DTB straightens everything out with his pastor logic and then i think oh boy i can't wait to see what Kosar and Smurph have to say about that logic. Jack jumps in first and says "dude". Then everyone takes a shot:mj07: . Still have to think Buddy is punking everyone. Maybe:shrug:

Thought is was pretty straight forward comparison Sponge and while I have seen several responses have yet to see one that addresses issue of the logic behind--

When Buddy is inspired by his pastors sermon--he's "unable to think for himself".

--but when O is not only inspired by his Rev of 20 years-referring to him as uncle/mentor and names book after his sermon-- "he's presidential material."

Somehow this dude fails to see the logic :)

but will certain side with Matt on tax issues of religious orgs that get into politics.

buddy, I'd like for you to expand a little on the comments you made and what your preacher said.

I think pulpit politics are wrong whatever the message. Too many people that need to hear the word. We can watch the news and the pundits at home. Once u have them in church, talk about salvation and a relationship with God.

The topic of Peak Oil and the result of what MAY HAPPEN when the global demand for oil exceeds the supply was related to the first horseman of the apocalypse as mentioned in Revelation 6.

As you already know, China and the United States have both warned the oil producing countries they will not be held hostage over the production and distribution of oil.

President Bush has already asked King Abdullah twice to increase oil production. The first time he was publicly told "no". The second time he was granted a small increase.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-New York, downplayed the Saudi increase.

"Nice try, but no cigar. When gas is at $4 per gallon, demand increases almost daily, and the Saudis have millions of barrels per day more in spare capacity," he said.

"This isn't nearly good enough."

Six Five, when you went to church yesterday, what was the topic of your pastors sermon?

Buddy was your pastor at this meeting? Is he positive this is what they talked about or were the two just laughing all the way to the bank?

"the bunker"
buddy...did you ever suspect you`d get mugged by your old open minded, liberal bunkys for experiencing a change of heart on a certain issue?....

just multiply this times 100 to get e feel for what dtb and i have experienced here over the years...

this is the price we pay for trying to bring truth and justice to this little corner of "madjackson" known as "madjackistan"......

remember, brother,a clean tie attracts the soup of the day.....;)

Buddy - when I was 11 and listening to this stuff at church it was credit cards, cashless society, and the number of the *Beast* indicating the looming apocolypse that they scared us with.

These fundamentalist churches need to keep their followers scared that the world is ending in a few years. They use every modern event as a way to prove it's happening. See, if the 2nd coming and judgement day were 50 years off, then people wouldn't be scared enough to keep giving them money and voting for their candidates. BUT when they strike fear that Revelation is indicating that it's happening now, then everyone is eager to give their savings (I mean who needs money when the world ends, right?) and get on the right team for the winning score.

Kosar is right. Think for your self. ...Or at least sleep on it first, before crying wolf.;)

Well Smurph, maybe some fundamentalist churches need to use every modern event as a way to prove armageddon is at hand. Ours doesn't and we don't. Our pastor preaches the message of salvation and makes sure the congregation hears the word of God (as written in the King James version of the bible). The bible teaches this world will come to an end. You have the free will to believe or reject the assertion. I believe it. I just don't have any faith in political systems to correct the problems we are facing. Until yesterday, I had never heard the term "Peak Oil". Had you? Google it and let me know what you think?

Yes, like 20 years ago. We are certainly not slaves to the inevitability though. Many alternatives are out there without us having to fight wars for every last drop.

Just heard the sound of many people searching 'peak oil.' Screeching all over the place!

Friggin' weird.

Your church should be shut down, just like Obamas former church should.

They should all be shut down or have to do what Wrestling had to and call itself " Church entertainment". Then start paying some taxes like we all do. My former priest has a great gig. He is married with kids in a nice big house. Nicknamed father grabadollar. They use to come in my shop with like six people. Never would leave the waitress a tip till i shame the fukers into one. Always payed in ones:shrug: . Imagine that.
