ESPN's Ed Werder reports Brady Quinn took eight first-team reps in Broncos practice this week, and that it was more than usual.
Quinn is saying he didn't get extra practice snaps, but perhaps because the Broncos told him to keep quiet. Multiple reports have now claimed Quinn's in-practice role was increased. With as many running plays as the Broncos use, it's fair to wonder how many true "quarterback reps" starter Tim Tebow receives in a given week. Either way, Tebow may be on a short leash Sunday.

Quinn or Tebow?

Quinn or Tebow?

Yeah when Quinn was with the Browns he use to light up the Steelers "D" all the time. And now we add in the rust factor. Steelers should be double digit road favorites by kickoff. I really think that you guys that are backing Denver are either Pitt haters or deep down(regardless of what you say) you have strong feelings for Tim Tebow and you are rooting for him to do good. He is a good guy and his teammates seem to get fired up for him. It just will not matter this week as Pitt will field almost their whole defensive unit and should play with much more fire that they have in recent weeks now that we are playing preview games to the big dance. Steelers are smart, they are also getting older and realize that it is time to rock -n- roll!!

Good Luck Guys, :popcorn2

P.S- I am a Homer!

"Multiple sources" tell Profootballtalk.com the Broncos are prepared to bench Tim Tebow if he struggles against the Steelers in Sunday's Wild Card game.
The Broncos reportedly "have a package for (backup Brady) Quinn to be used in second-and-long or third-and-long situations." It would be incorrect to say coach John Fox has lost faith in Tebow since he hasn't had faith in him from the beginning, but it's clear Tebow's turnover-marred performances during Denver's recent three-game losing streak have Fox ready to turn to Quinn, who has not taken a regular-season snap since 2009. Tebow will be facing perhaps his most difficult test of the season in a Steelers defense ranked first against the pass and eighth against the run.
