Let down? Fluke? Tennessee playing great, definitely won't take them lightly after the Duke thing.
I have certainly been wrong before but this is my favorite game in a long time.
A side note: Mercer beat Tenn a year ago in the first round of the NIT at Knoxville. A different game today. I love Tenn. They are playing better and have plenty of motivation. That might have been a problem last year. + Monty Brown is out for Mercer.
i see monty brown being mentioned here quite a bit......i admittedly don`t follow college hoops as much as i used to but,a quick scan of some stats indicates that brown averages 9.5 minutes a game .is their 8th leading scorer and 7th leading rebounder(as a senior)...i understand he`s a big body vs a good sized tenn front line,but,i wouldn`t say he`s a gamebreaker(he had 2 points in 4 minutes of play vs duke...certainly not a factor in that one)....
i understand that no team wants their rotation disrupted at this crucial point in the season,but,when it was mentioned that he was out i was thinking that he was a more integral factor than he appears to be..
disclaimer:i have mercer +13.5 to close out a small teaser,so,i hope this big bastid isn`t the straw that breaks the camel`s back:SIB:lol:......don`t follow college hoops like i used to...i put my toe in once the tourney starts and follow a few for fun(wagering very lightly)... so please don`t put a ton of credence in my opinion here....
