Guys who don't have all the numbers and attributes, but have proven to be absolute winners...

Why don't they take guys like this more serious?

Clearly u haven't re watched the game and only pay attention to the final play that gets replayed ad nauseam..there were plenty of bogus calls that went against the hawks in that second half. The Seahawks won that game I suggest you deal with it.

I am so thrilled to be able to watch Wilson for years to come. The kid is a winner and absolutely thrives in the face of adversity. I always hear about intangibles and moxie and thought those were just buzzwords people like mcshay and kipper use to sound like they know what they're talking about... I think I now know what it is

That said, I love Russell Wilson also. He was great for the Badgers and his demeanor is so mature. He is definitely a winner, and I do pull for him whenever the Packers are not involved. Very happy that the Pack won't (probably won't) have to play them in Seattle in the playoffs.

After Td or Fg, opposing team gets ball at midfield.
Quarterback and wide receivers can not be touched under ANY circumstances.
All punts must be fair caught.
Running backs can not be touched until they get past the line of scrimmage.

Field goals 10-19 yards = 2pts
Field goals 20-30 yards = 3pts
Field goals 31-40 yards = 4pts
Field goals 41-50 yards = 5pts
Field goals 50+ = 6pts

Safety=NEGATIVE 2 pts...you may have touched QB.

This damage is not only to player's bodies, but also to their minds with the amount of concussions they endure over their playing careers. Even more tragic is the damage this causes to the people around them when these players that give so many millions joy on Sundays end up taking their own lives due to the depression they suffer from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. Those who don't take their own lives often end up facing dementia and a very premature death. Let's not moan about the fact that the NFL is finally doing the right thing and trying to stop this.

Of course, it doesn't help when you see a player, Vernon Davis, get knocked out of a game with a concussion from a blow to the head, and then you have that asshole, Jon Gruden, saying in front of the whole country how it was a clean hit and how ridiculous it is that a flag was thrown. That fucker should be suspended by ESPN for making an outrageously irresponsible comment like that.They need to start suspending these players for head shots instead of just fining them. The fines should be bigger, too. Anything that can be done to lower the amount of concussions needs to be considered. I wouldn't mind seeing teams get the ball at the 20 to start every drive.

The problem is all the mopes out there, who would shit their pants at getting hit by one of these 252-lb (average in the NFL) men, bitch about the "pussification" of the NFL when rule changes to protect the players are discussed. Seriously man I agree, players are getting too strong. I have no problems with some of the rule changes.....

These guys are destroying eachother....literally...it is a much different game....that is why I don't listen to the argument, "back in the day they didn't have these rules"

Well, back in the day, they didn't have 300 lbers running faster then horses....this is such a different game....I don't like all of the changes in the league, but as far as helmet to helmet shit, doesn't bother me one bit...the "product" won't be ruined by this like some say...players/teams/coaches adapt...they will learn how to play within these rules, and the league will continue to flourish...

SOME changes are needed, it is still a violent sport.

Sadly with the rules slanted heavily against the defense, they are making football deities out of young "wonder" QB's that under previous rules would be second stringers at best.

Every time I see a QB cry to a ref because a defender touched his helmet and it was a non-call, I want to puke. Or a wide receiver pandering for a call...reminds me of "flopping" in the NBA. (thankfully that appears to have been addressed)

It is awful hard for someone as myself that has watched football for 40+ years to see the product systematically watering itself down to the level of flag football.


Guess it is part of the aging process..."getting old ain't for sissies"...
