Having 4 kids and them growing up in the 90's and 2,000's is kinda different then the old days. Many of there friends over the years have had tatoos..I'm not against tatoos but I told each and everyone of them until there on there own I don't any of them to get one.Maybe being in education for all these years have made me more conservative on this issue. But I can't tell you how many times I have parents come to me is total dismay over there kids getting tatoos...some are acceptable when you see a small one..but some kids do there whole arm....back etc.. It's really getting out of hand..Next week our senior class does it's annual trip to Disney and Universal..There was a big movement to change the disney trip this year to Virginia Beach..seniors were divided...almost 50-50..Besides access to alcohol and harder to watch in Vir beach one of the deciding factors was..tatoos..
Three schools in my area had big time problems in Vir Beach,Boston and maryland on there senior trip. many of these kids got tatoos while on there break...parents went off on all the schools...made the papers, etc
So next saturday..myself and my HS will take a jet blue flight to orlando..for 5 days and the only tatoos they can get are Mickey Mouse ones that after 3 days disappear...
I always told my kids that the only tatoo I'll allow is a "converse sneaker tatoo with chuck taylors name on it" right on your ass...
I am not really against tatoos..just think you need to be older when you get one...
