A friend of mine named Rob Nelson who is 36 is fighting for his life... Those of you on my FB can see him on my friends list.
Rob is a really great guy and unfortunately was diagnosed with Blastomycosis whch is a fungal organism which attacks the lungs. A couple weeks ago he was medically induced into a coma and recovery was optimistic. Unfortunately he remains induced and on mechanical respiration. His chances of survival are 50/50 and his chances of living without mechanical respiration is 20%. He has 2 wonderful children and a great lady by his side. Rob is one of those kick ass guys who you love to be around. Blastomyciosis is most prevlant in Northern WI.. It something you breath and only affects .1 in 100000.
I dont know wtf is going on here. My best friend had curable colon ca that we know of and my next best friend's wife died of cancer at age 37 little more than 2 years ago. I posted her Obit. I mean I expect us all to have our problems but not in out 30s..

He has two chest tubes still in and they are hoping to remove them soon. He even asked for a beer! Hang in there buddy! Long road ahead but things are looking up! He has so amazing friends!Thank you all for your support during this difficult time. I'm totally overwhelmed with the response from people willing to help out to make this benefit a success.
