I saw this posted on FB and needless to say it brought back a lot of memories. I worked there the summer of 1973 parking cars and got to see any of the concerts I wanted to for free. Some fun times and great memories from that summer when I was 18 years old, the summer I graduated from High School. Look at the talent and look at the prices.

Dancers of the Little Angels performing a traditional Korean dance in Delhi.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RUYcjmC9rqQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

from wiki:

Organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) , famous children folk ballet troupe 'Little Angels' from the Republic of Korea performing in Delhi to express their gratitude to Indian war veterans and their families for providing medical assistance during the Korean War.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), is an autonomous organisation of the Government of India, involved in India's external cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their peoples. It was founded on 9 April 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.

The Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet of Korea is a dance troupe founded in 1962 by Sun Myung Moon, the founder of the Unification Church, to project a positive image of South Korea to the world. In 1973 they performed at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The group's dances are based on Korean legends and regional dances, and its costumes on traditional Korean styles. Choral singing by the troupe in many languages is also featured.

In 2010 the Little Angels traveled to the United States to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War. This was sponsored by the Korean War 60th Anniversary Memorial Committee, whose chairman, Bo Hi Pak, is the president of the Little Angels. Later that year they traveled to the other 15 nations that had sent troops to support South Korea in the United Nations force.

The Little Angels are supported financially by the Tongil Group, a South Korean business group associated with the Unification Church, through the Tongil Foundation.

I forget why but there was sort of a riot at that concert that lasted prob 30 minutes. The people in the grass seating were tearing up the sod and having a sod battle, throwing the sod at each other and everywhere. What a mess.

Great post. Man, a who's who of bands on that summer tour. That place must have been awesome!! Did not know that trivia about Jackson Brown recordings there, but sure played those records a ton. Loved many of them, saw many live, those were some fun days and nights.
