WASHINGTON - In a bid to save financial markets and economy from further turmoil, the U.S. government agreed Tuesday to provide an $85 billion emergency loan to rescue the huge insurer AIG. The Federal Reserve said in a statement it determined that a disorderly failure of AIG could hurt the already delicate financial markets and the economy.


And IO.....love ya, but hate the sig. not the picture but the space it takes up

Anyone read the USA Today Money section? It had a list of the Top 10 people that AIG owed money to. Citicorp was first with 180+ billion.

Damn thats some serious jack.

Yeh and Citicorp charged them late fees of 40 million, and raised their interest rate to 30.99 %

Next week AIG will owe them 300 billion

And we Americans will pay it. The goverment is going to buy them out:142smilie
