I always love pics of your house. I would like to stay where I am, but add a seasonal home in the mountains.

Maybe we can swap for a month each year - I would love to spend a month in NO every year - my favorite city in the U.S. Although probably not in the middle of summer!!

I have heard great things about Quebec City AR. I will spend 8 months in Malibu and the other 4 months up there. A quarter of the time for the quarter French Canuck in me. :brows:

San Francisco
Don't think I could live anywhere full-time but San Francisco, or maybe Manhattan (although terrible weather there)... but

I WOULD love to have enough money to spend 1month a year in the mountains, and 1 month a year in Hawaii.

10 months=city
2 months=Tranquil/Nature/Tropical etc etc.

I agree with this take. The wife and I are starting to consider our later years (mine will come much sooner than hers...) and are trying to figure out what to do. I absolutely love Minnesota in the summer, it is wonderful - I've never seen so many nice lakes and places to be with so many people that just explode outside after the tough winters. But, I WILL NOT live here in the winter for the rest of my life. I didn't grow up here, and know there is a better way to spend a winter. I love Colorado, and I grew up in Missouri, and love my home area of the Ozarks, but not ideal. I love the caribbean and some exotic places, and would consider something part time down there, if it could be worked out. Really like San Diego, and San Francisco is an amazing place. The Keys are something special.

Since I guess I'll be a teacher for my final years - which is great - I'll have summers off, so we can consider a lot of things. I guess now we're thinking of Minnesota summers and someplace warm for a part of the winter. I don't like HOT weather, and I hate humidity, but I can't deal with ongoing winters like we have here. It's just too tough for too long.

Old School my man, we don't even have AC! Don't need it. But you can golf year round. 40 here is like 70 in Midwest, no humidity and sun is strong.

How do you golf year around with all the freaking snow?
Beautiful place though. Would love to live in the mountains. Just to damn cold. Like riding my Harley and golfing to much to live their. Would love to have a summer home in the rockies. That would be sweet as hell.
