For all of you that have been around here a while, you know that I pay tribute to a good friend of mine that died way too soon of a rare disorder that had only been recognized 12 other times besides him. We were in a Rotisserie Baseball League for years together when we were young and hung out quite a bit doing a myriad of things, both good and bad. Anyway, when he would see a game that the line just didn't make any sense, he would make the wager anyway and say, "I'll pay to see!" In his memory I carry on this tradition here at Madjacks.

Today I find the Nationals/Twins game to fall into that category , at least for me, and after all, it's my money that we're speaking of.

The Twins have won all of 5 games so far. They have won all of 1 game on the road. Gio has given up a total of 1 run in his 13 innings/2 games of work. Yes, I do realize that it was against the Phillies and the Braves. I too realize the the bulk of the Twins losses came against the Royals and the Pale Hose, yet the also dropped two to the Brew Haws.

I am also aware that the current line sits at -145, so what's the big deal? Well it opened at -180, so somebody is making it a big deal, and if they have that much $$$$$ to influence a line move that big then they have far deeper pockets than I and probably a lot more resources as well........However......I'm going to "Pay to see!" And I am playing the Nats not only on the money line, but I will also steal the mans money at plus a buck and a half on the run line as well.

Am I telling everybody to jump on my bandwagon????? Hell no! I'm just sharing a little info as to why I am making this particular play. It may win, it may lose, but I am willing to throw my personal shekels on the table to find out.

Was already on the Nats @ -156, but didn't know it opened at -180. Hasn't always gone my way when the line moves that much, thought you were going to be on the Twins. Let's reverse the trend.

Glad to see you honor your friend; good ones are hard to come by. Best of luck tonite.:toast:

Appreciate the kind words guys.

Also takin' the under in the A's/Jays game......The A's haven't gone two straight to the over so far this early season....Add Gray on the mound and Jays 4 Overs and 12 unders to start the season.
