Tramp, u ever see Olberman show how these conservative frauds blow out their talking points like they all had the same idea? The latest one was where they all said Obama finally looked presidential with his speech the other night. It is pretty hilarious. He will march out about ten Republicans talking, an they all say the same garbage like it was their own thoughts. :0002. He cuts to them one by one all the same day with the same message :0002 It reminds me of Dog's here. He just doesn't know any better and runs with it. :142smilie Boy i hate using that word conservative. Their is nothing conservative about these handjobs.

I don't watch MSNBC but I do see clips from time to time. I've really come to realize that doggie and guys like doggie are really just brain dead. They have been programmed for years and they aren't going to change their ways. doggie is way too old and has gotten this crammed up his fat ass for years. It's useless debating him as you can see. Time after time he gets his ass fed to him and he comes back for more with a new grift. It's pathetic and sad. What else would expect from a guy who sells insurance?

I found where some of the numbers you're highlighting here came from since you won't post the link. Did you know that the numbers you're highlighting, the "rank" is the rank of your state's per capital income?

The citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky make $34,339, 47th in the nation ahead of only West Virginia, Arkansas and Mississippi and still have to pay more of a percentage of their measly incomes to the state. But you tried to make the chart look like you weren't paying much in taxes.

No wonder you didn't want to post a link. Geez Louise

.................................................................

He does this all the time in a weak attempt to prove his useless points.

I have had to stop trying to interpret his ramblings most of the time.

It hurts my brain.

So, Wayne, the chart you now posted showing tax burdens in 2005 and more importantly tax burden per capita shows Kentucky paying more in state taxes per person than Illinois.

Is that your point? If not, what is your point? If it is your point, well made. :0074

Of course total tax really isn't a valid measure of anything, as it's essentially just more people paying in to the state. But, you know that, right?

Minnesota has very high taxes in most categories, especially in and on businesses. I looked around, and found very little to show that businesses or people are leaving the state, and if your point is high tax rates cause everyone to leave, it certainly is not evident here. There are benefits to high taxes, if they are spent properly to make your state attractive in other ways, which Minnesota does very well, IMO.

Found a commentary on this issue from a Wisconsin opinion, which talks about this:

http://www.lakeshorelaments.com/?p=5862

Seems we've only lost .4% of local business establishments in the past few years (economy-related, I'm sure) which is very low, and the only places people are leaving here for is Arizona and Texas, which is probably just older folk finally moving there to their winter homes for good - which makes complete sense if you live here in the wintertime. And it shows people moving here from Wisconsin, which you show as a place people are moving TO from Illinois.

As with anything, there are different ways to explain things. High taxes alone do not tell the whole story, if you care to look hard enough. Minnesota is a very highly taxed state, but it's a wonderful place to live, in large part BECAUSE of the high taxes. High taxes can pay for a lot of great things, and make things very attractive FOR businesses, too.

Spongey... I caught Brent "Bozo" Bozell's act on C-SPAN (Washington Journal) yesterday. This guy's a poster child for shallow, myopic neocon ideology and how these neocon tools have nothing left once you strip away their talking points. I mean he couldn't even keep up with the callers. Here's just one example...

Bozell's prattling on about how the Obama agenda's ruining the country and how 60% of the American people are against Healthcare Reform. They take a call. The caller identifies himself as a Republican but then goes on to say that he's emabarrassed to call himself a Republican. The caller then says something to the effect that for nearly 2 years Obama ran on a platform, shouting from the rooftops that Healthcare Reform would be his #1 priority and a majority of the American people elected him to do just that. Now the Republicans want to repeal what the American people elected Obama to do. Explain that.

Bozell's only response to the caller... "Hey, 60% of the people are against it".

That's it. That's all he had. His talking point.

It reminded me of Dogs posting his daily Drudge links but when anyone asks him to explain what point he's trying to make, he stutters and stammers and regurgitates his "government tit" comments about "Da Base" because, like Bozo Bozell, he's got nothing else.

It says the same thing that the other chart did. You've paid a higher amount in state tax than I have and this new increase in Illinois closes that gap. Is that what your point is?

---and when your done there you might want to reply on this article concerning corp taxes--
http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/26974.html

"The federal government allows businesses to deduct taxes paid to lower levels of government."

This HUGE tax increase amounts to changing the effective rate from 39.9% to 41.2%. . . assuming that a company has a net income percentage of 5%, the HUGE increase in tax represents 0.065% (1/16th of 1%) increase as a percentage of revenues...and more of your tax dollars stay home. Nobody's moving to states with less advantages like our neighbors.

The property taxes were already included in your first chart, so we've already discussed them. You know that what the chart that you put up but can't find the link to represents, right? You read things before you post them, . . . .right?

So since I've answered all your questions, can you answer the one for me. Did you not understand what you were posting? or were you trying to trick us?

Say What?? --and you think CA pays the least in U.S. and South Dakota
the most per graph?

Chad buddy--you have accomplished one thing and I thank you for it. If I can't present an arguement against increased debt-spending and high taxes to responsible productive citizens such as yourself- Garry and BBC--I'm wasting a lot of time that could be spent productively elsewhere. We'll just all have to live with consequences of our convictions--

Probably worse effect of our discussions is it gives the few zero's (cyber trolls) here a soap box for only thing they have in life--opinion.
wish we had private messaging here were they would be isolated amongst themselve

Be well buddy.

I have no idea what you are talking about, Wayne. I looked at the chart you linked from the Government Census - that you wanted us to look at. It showed, per capita, that Connecticut pays the most per capita in taxes and South Dakota the least.

If you can tell me where I'm wrong about that, go for it. The same chart shows what I said it showed about Illinois and Kentucky, which has been talked about here relentlessly, and I was making an observation using your posted data.

I understand the point about high taxes being more difficult for business, and I'm not saying I believe blanketly that they are good for business. I was merely responding to the points that you were asking us to look at, and other info that I posted that showed a different view of people and businesses leaving highly taxed states - like mine. And also, how businesses can also benefit from being in highly taxed states due to how some of them operate and what else the states offer, in part because of taxes.

Once again, he's posted statistics he doesn't understand. Small wonder he runs and hides when you ask him to explain what point he's trying to make by posting the statistics.

Maybe he will learn something from his little mess. If he didn't tell everyone everything about himself on the Internet, he wouldn't be in his little mess.

Really? You're happy about this? Dogs is misguided, but he's good people and we all just got fucked.

It affects you less than others since you just take take and take from this site, but there's really no reason to be happy.

Not happy or I would have been celebrating in the post. Just pointing out that you shouldn't post your personal information for all to see on the Internet like some of us have told him before.
