Great news from Missouri to us tonight - my daughter had a healthy baby girl and everyone is evidently doing fine. "Papa Chad" has a new little one to spoil, my friends.

Something incredibly special about your children having children... kind of puts everything in perspective.

Way to go, kiddo! :00hour

I was dubbed Papa Chad by my grandson who is now the big brother of the family at almost 5 years old. Nothing like the sound of it, despite it usually being over the phone.

Mom and daughter doing great this morning - healthy with no complications. Annabel Kelly came out at 7 lbs. 15 ounces - a big load for my small daughter. Great follow up news.

Chad, congratulations on the new arrival. My wife and I are expecting our 2nd in 3 weeks or so.

What ever happened with the surgery. You said before spring break right?

Thanks for asking, Saint. The very best of luck to you, the wife, the older little one, and the new little one! I'm having surgery on March 3. That's the Thursday before my Spring Break, so hopefully the full time to recover will do the trick and I'll be able to get back to business right after. Not exactly what I'd consider a break, but i should get a lot of reading done. Honestly, have kind of put things out of my mind over the past month or so after the decision was made, starting to creep back into my head.

This was a very pleasant diversion, to be sure.

Congratulations Chad :toast: I know that wonderful feeling myself. I have three little angels that melt their papa on every visit. And I see them often .... so all those puddles aren't just the snow melting :0074
