Why extend courtesy?
Why extend courtesy?
Jack - my only question is if you hate the touts as you say above, why would you want to extend them any courtesy whatsoever?
If you hate them, tell them to take a hike when they call about their picks being posted rather than extend them the courtesy. By extending that courtesy to the people you say you hate, you are not only alienating certain people in this forum who enjoyed your site over other sports forums but also are causing you additional unneeded work by searching for picks that you agreed not to be posted.
Just curious on that fact. I know you weren't "paid off" or some of the other ridiculous comments people are making but why even bother extending them that courtesy. Do they deserve it? And by extending that courtesy to certain touts, then that almost appears to be a form of censorship which I never would have expected here.
Listen, in the end, I don't really care and totally agree with you that 99% of the services are completely worthless. I long since recognized most are just sleazy marketing majors preying on the gambling degenerate. In fact, one service you always requested not to be posted (ATS) spends ten times more energy and money on marketing than they do there own picks with all their mailings and advertising. They offer so many packages that when one ultimately gets "hot", they market that one while many of the other packages they are offering are failing. However they have their following as many of the bad ones do and I feel bad for the people they sucker in.
On the other hand, I do think there are a select few touts that are worth some consideration when gathering all the facts for an individual to make his selection. I realize there could be ramifications on the write-up portion of the selection and that may have to be censored but certainly not the pick itself.
For myself, a pick without a write-up does me little good unless one of the select few that have proven the test of time gets hot. However, some of the write-ups if allowed or were not requested to be removed have proven to be helful from time to time. Rarely, lol, but sometimes.
Personally I don't really care about the service section. I can get them elsewhere if I need to. I think there are many other areas of Madjack Sports that are interesting and a helpful resource that are superior to other sites. Still, in a drawn out statement, again I just always wondered why you would extend that courtesy to the touts you say you hate. Because it's the right thing to do? No, most of them prey and harass many people who should not be gambling without an ounce of regret.
Again, love your forum but would enjoy hearing why you've extended that courtesy ultimately ending up in removing of that forum completely. Thanks.
Why extend courtesy?
simon, i started this site because i hate touts. i wanted a site where people would come and discuss sportsbetting without ever wanting to use a tout.
why i started that forum a couple years ago, i have no idea but it isn't worth the hassle for me.
i have been taking plays down when a service asks me to. it's a courtesy for christsakes.
and i didn't side with the touts and i didn't get paid off. the picks are worthless, totally worthless, and the sooner you learn that, the better off you will be.
take the titans tonight.
