Just signed up to the sight and saw this. I knew Wayne when he worked in Wichita, KS in the mid 90's. He was a very nice man. Never knew he was such a great capper. RIP Wayne

Not familiar with a place by that name in Ames, wild bill.
There is a pretty good BBQ place in town called hickory Park that I've eaten at a few times.
And no, Wayne and I never went to Ames together but I know he spent a lot of time there as he had family there and was an iowa state grad.

I just learned of KC Wolf's passing in another thread this afternoon, Wayne although I never met him or had much interaction with him as I recall, was one of the best here, to sum his picks up in terms of a sports movie, he was "The Natural"
