I have often wondered why he had his boy ride him around in the bronco threatening to kill himself:shrug: I know it is not the defenses job to prove innocence but was this ever explained.(I think I know, but would love to hear).

He had a disguise and some traveling money with him also and I believe he explained it as his intention was to run. The "fight or flight" response is normal in most individuals and is very well studied and chronicled in most psychiatric texts. There is a distinct difference in that reaction based on race, income, social strata, etc... I would say that he reacted in much the same way most black celebrities would act. I would hazard to say that anyone who stood accused as he did and realized the court of public opinion would be steadfastly against him and he made a bad decision. He also turned himself in, to that end. So what is the truth. I don't know but I know I would have ran too if I were him However, he thought better of it but most people only remember that he ran. Of course I have no need to prove his innocence either as I don't know that he was completely without knowledge of the crime, but a very poor job of prosecution.

Now I didnt study psychology but I bet another factor in fleeing might be if you committed double murder:shrug:

Jack,
The man had ample opportunity to flee while in Chicago and during the days of the investigation that led them to the arrest warrant. Funny how nobody denied the fact that the issuance of the warrant was leaked to O.J.'s lawyers, giving him further opportunity to flee. So in answer to your question, no not really do I think............. As I have always maintained, the man was found not guilty, not innocent. People are free to form their own opinion. I am simply stating that ones assessment of guilt is not based on fact anymore, only what they see on Geraldo, youtube or CNN. In my opinion, and I value my opinion greatly, is that the verdict was a correct one based on the evidence admitted. Furthermore, had all the testimony and evidence that the defense was ready to submit been allowed, maybe public opinion would have been different. Of course that would mean that some people would have to accept the fact that it wasn't the molly coddled, ebony, ex-football star that did it which will never sit well with a white dominated social strata. Now thats an opinion, don't ya think?
