Ford Focus has come a long way and it was a tough choice between that and my Toyota Corolla. The Corolla has a higher resale value from what I read. My buddy who is a mechanic says he never works on Corollas cause they just keep going and going.
What really brought me over the top for Corolla is that I found one with manual transmission. It is rated for 42 mpg HWY but I get about 37. If I drove normal with cruise I may push 40mpg.
