i can't believe how childish these players are....

some of these poker players act very tempermental & seem to get pleasure antagonizing the other players....

i just saw a kid accuse another player named lisandro a cheater by not putting in the ante...then lisandro threatening the kid.....

give me the guy who is quiet & just plays his game...

i'm so glad i never got involved with this....

tournament poker and low stakes poker players as a rule are generally the scummiest of poker players as most don't have a pot to piss in and are broke or playing above their means....i.e rent checks, welfare checks....

not to say all, i'm sure jack is a good guy and others, but as a collective whole they are the worst of the bunch.

higher limit players are generally pretty bad too and get a lot of grief over stiffing dealers.

i think the wsop created a monstor when the internet hit and you get 5000 qualifiers.

i think the buy in for the main event should be changed to 50k. make it a true best of the best and you will eliminate a lot of the riff raff. it should also be a hose type game instead of no limit hold em if you really want to find the best or at least make it pot limit holdem where there is actually post flop play. but again that's my opinion.

i am one and deal with these people daily, but in general poker players suck. most are arrogant broke people.

as for gold, he's a joke. a rich one though i suppose, but definitely not the best player in the world. probably not even in the top 50%.

i think this is the dumbest shit on tv since i once tried to watch Nascar. I still don't see the fascination with this stuff. To watch it is unbearable.

Jamie Gold won the biggest poker tournament in history.

Wow, what a "great" game no limit hold em (tournies) are.

Good analysis. Obviously I've only played live 6 times in my life, 4 sessions at an underground club on Long island a few sessions in vegas, and I had to put my ipod on at the club I got so agitated by these a-hole morons telling me and others how to play hands...stfu and play your cards...vegas was the same way, luckily there were a few cool younger guys who werent a-holes but man, sitting at a poker table is depressing listening to some of these jerks...Gold really pissed me off in that tourny when he was constantly saying what hand he had and talking during the hands and commentating, that is so damn obnoxious, that clown hit every hand imagineable........bdb, do you mind if i get your email from jack i wanted to ask you a couple strategical questions for when i start playing again more this summer and a bankroll question, thanks

poker players are a miserable breed (the ones that live in the poker rooms grinding out a living). most miserable fuks with zero life i've ever encountered.

don't ever think playing poker for a living is a glamourous (SP) way to live BECAUSE IT ISN'T.

Yeah, I've heard the same Jack, but apparently BDB is at least good enough to make decent $ at it, kudos. but yeah, that is not glamarous, but it definitely beats listening to a boss in most cases, imo, but DEFINITELY playing for some serious side profit as entertainment if you're good enough is the best of both worlds, but you cannot meet more miserable a-holes in those places, thats why you bring an ipod with tom petty and classic rock, to drown out those clowns
