Under a mask.
I never give 10 % of my pay,I'm unable to afford it.Besides its not a requirement. While most tides and offerings go back into the church including the pastors pay, there is no way of knowing truly how its evenly distributed.

Disaster relief also is taken on separate occasions. There is record keeping that is disclosed periodically on my church collections and I would like to believe it is on the up and up.

But sadly there are people misled ,just like sheep. Here is my way of thinking ;Listen to GOD first above all else and you will not be misled http://www13.brinkster.com/exposed/3.htm

Can't read it,the printing is to small:shrug:

I'll read it for you.

Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses and Baptists have the lowest incomes.

Hindus, Jews and Anglicans have the highest incomes.

So, are Pentecostals, JWs and Baptists stupid or just lazy?

And Hindus, Jews and Anglicans - do they work really hard, or are they just smarter?

Your call. :0corn

Well JW's have elders who are not paid opposed to pastors ,not to mention there numbers of people on a year to year basis are up and down due to their beliefs. One only needs to look at their headquarters in NY to see where their moneys going.

Duff,I think you left out Unaffiliated Religions, which run on their own. That would include Protestant's who are independent of itself, meaning they basically pay their own way ,the Church, the body, the congregation.

Here's the facts once again on the character of charity preaching liberals when its their dime.

Gumby's 2002 return--
http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_b...tax_return.pdf

Gave less than 1/2 of 1% to charity--of course he was still paying off those credit cards.

Biden a whooping $195 to chairty
http://www.taxhistory.org/thp/presre...Biden_1998.pdf

--and common knowledge on Kerry and Gore

"Two America's"-Kerry tax returns (1995 & 1991)have 2 years where he donate """0"""" to charity

Gore 1997- $353

---now on other side of fence we have the greedy conservative as portrayed by drive by media--
GW--heres a few from Goggle ranging from $82,000 to $334,000
1998
http://answers.google.com/answers/th...id/105283.html

Cheney--how many million and which year you want?????

Ok lets drop down to Sarah Palin have 2 years on her--06 ($4,250) and 07 ($3.325)----
and thats with 4 children and one being special needs.

Hmm more than years reported on Gumby-Biden-Kerry and Gore COMBINED--

Bottom line when you hear a liberal preaching about giving/charity--their generousity stops at your dime.

The chart originally appeared in the New York Times.

Doggie thinks because some other site picked it up, they were the originator.

Dumb doggie. :mj07: :mj07:

Then why not link from nyt?

When I google Da Base/Muffins/income-Nyt
-I get this--

Tithing is a matter of the heart.

Contributions might be given because one believes in the ministries of the church and would like to support those efforts. For example, our church operates and maintains three buses. Every Sunday, these buses travel to low income housing projects to bring young people to Kids church. For ninety minutes, they are part of a safe, supervised environment where they can experience some semblance of order and structure. Fuel is expensive. So is bus maintenance not to mention other related expenses. If your church has active ministries which you can see with your own eyes and are open for anyone to participate, then you understand.

Otoh, contributions might also be given by some one who feels guilt and a sense of shame for their evil, sin-soaked life and is trying to buy favor with the Almighty. Imo, this is the wrong approach, but we all have individual liberty. However, there is One who knows the intent of the secret chambers of the heart.

Christian charity has nothing to do with liberal or conservative. It's far more personal.

I've heard some say it's not how much you give...
t's how much you keep.
