If that was a forward pass that is batted down,woud it not be indy ball back at the spot of 4th down as if new England went for it and threw an incomplete pass?

What am I thinking. It isn't illegal to throw a forward pass:facepalm:

you guys watching a different game than I am then--there was no forward pass there!! you actually have to possess the football to attempt a forward pass and that dumb ass punter never had control of the football, therefore no pass.
