The Mighty Ducks recalled J.F. Damphousse yesterday to back up Jean-Sebastien Giguere while Martin Gerber is away from the team, according to the LA Times.


Olaf Kolzig practiced yesterday for the first time since injuring his wrist last week, according to the Washington Post. He could return to action tomorrow or Saturday.

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames recalled goaltender Levente Szuper from the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League.



Szuper played in five games for Saint John this season, posting a 3-2-0 record with a 2.76 goals-against average. He was the Flames' fourth choice, 116th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.

The team also re-assigned netminder Dany Sabourin to Saint John.

The Flames are 4-3-3-2 this season and in fourth place in the Northwest Division.
