Initial, gut reactions...

Navy @ Duke -2
Rice @ Vandy -9.5
Georgia -8 @ South Carolina
Michigan +4 @ Notre Dame

When were Duke and Vandy favorites, let alone on the same weekend?

The Head Ball Coach might be able to rebound from the Vandy loss, but still think that UGA wins by at least 17.

I don't care who ND is playing, they shouldn't be laying points to anyone.

Interesting ND/UM line.

Carib actually has UM -1 right now.

Sportsbook had ND -3.5 over the summer in its Games of the Year feature. Took it off the board (with every other game) during the opening weekend and then re-released it last week as ND -8.5!!!

Tonight, its -1 UM, albeit at a different book.

Is there really a ND -4 out there. What in the world is going on at Carib, then? Can anyone say for sure what in God's green earth is gonna happen with these two collections collide? Its going to be ugly.

I hate taking road favorites, especially DD road favorites, but Penn State should destroy Syracuse. I'm trying to find a reason they won't, but can't.

I think the Zips may keep things interesting vs. Ball State. Akron has been much better offensively than most thought they would be. QB Chris Jacquemain has been terrific and may allow the Zips to match or surpass the high powered Ball State offense. I don't think that they can set the total high enough for this one.

GL Tide, I hope things are going well for you!

I tend to agree with you.

I am leaning to taking Navy +2 and Rice +9.5.

Hey Spang, things are well my friend. Thrilled that it's football season again.

Another thing to consider is that Ball State travels to Bloomington after this game to take on the Hoosiers. You wouldn't think a MAC school would look past a conference game... but the Cards would love nothing better than to march into Memorial Stadium and get a win.

Definitely a shootout with the Zips.

Not thrilled with Alabama laying a lot of chalk considering they were no where near covering against Tulane last weekend... but I think after a week's worth of attitude adjustment at practice, not to mention the Western Kentucky starting QB is out, I think 'Bama can name the score against the Hilltoppers. Indiana was able to put 31 on them in the season opener a few weeks ago.

The backup QB is a Notre Dame transfer. How good can he be? :SIB

Getting a Notre Dame reject is like stepping in
shit and getting sucked up the asshole.

That's from Willingham's last class - he could just have easily gone to Indiana.

He probably had a nice golf course near his home town so Ty went ahead and made the trip.

I'd expect that Bama D will keep him in check and the offense may even be able to muster oh . . . say 173, maybe even 174 yards.
