If i want to use the internet during my stay in Vegas, what is my best bet? Should I bring a laptop and connect from my hotel room and pay local rates? btw, how much would that cost per minute? Or do some hotels offer free internet use? Or should I go to the business room or whatever they call it and pay for it by the minute? How much does that run? Just wondering what alternatives you guys have heard about or what you've done about this...thanks

i always bring my laptop and connect from the room. i have an AOL account so i don't have to pay long distance to my local isp when i'm traveling. maybe you can just set up with aol's free trial while you're away, if you don't have an account. if you do have an account, no problem. if you stay at the aladdin, they have a free computer and internet access in the room.:brows:

makes it sound better that way. and AOL is the way to go out there, as he said, if ya take your laptop, just go with the free trial. If ya don't want to go that route, i may have an account you could use if you want to download MSN internet, but it would NOT be guaranteed to connect whenever you wanted it to in case my roommate was logged on at the time.

you can use 1 of mine if you feel safer with it while you walk around ,have ones that go on ankle or 2 that fit right up under mid arm,just dont shoot anyone with them.
aladdin is sold out ,rooms for that week are 229 anight for a standard room but they might have a few very few,deluxe are 399 and forget about end capp and panarma suites over a dime a night and are always filled.

expect the airport security to ask you to take out the laptop and turn it on. they just need to confirm that it works.
i heard stories about airport stock rooms filled with broken electronics after 9/11 cuz ppl were asked to prove that they worked. poor folks who's cell phone batteries died, had their phones consfiscated as well. you can go back and claim it, but imagine what an out of towner is going to do?

DAMN.......they had BEST let me plug it in to prove that it works, cuz last time it was returned for service, they f'd something else up, or returned it with a battery that won't take or hold a charge, and the damn sure ain't gonna take my laptop from me!! (hopefully i'll have time to get a warranty fix or replacement from best buy before departure time)
