It sucks when I am so right and everyone is wrong.

Thanks guys, going to do a little more digging but I cant see an extra $300(not a member of the madjacks millionare club) for the 4s if the 4 is enough muscle. Think I have made up my mind to go with verizon though. Everything I have seen points that direction.
Plus no need to get any extra apps just to get onto Madjacks. Oh and it supports java. And on, and on, and on.

The iPhone is a very good phone, I doubt you'll be disappointed. For me, I prefer the Droid. With a rooted Droid I don't need to pay for tethering. No Flash on the iPhone is a draw back. I know Flash is going away and making room for HTML5 but still a lot of sites using Flash rich media. As far as apps, I think both have plenty to offer.
The iPhone and Droid are both great phones. But I would definitely go with Verizon no matter which phone you choose.
Talk to me about the rooted tethering part here. This could make a difference. How do you get this.
Since Android is linux based it can be modified to allow root access giving programs low level access to the operating system, which they normally wouldn't have. The process on rooting depends on the phone. By the way, if you decide to go with a Droid I highly recommend the HTC phones.
It's not that difficult to root but if you have any techie friends you may want to seek their help. It's a one time process. Once rooted you can download wireless tether and that will allow you to share your phone's internet access FOR FREE with any other wireless device...laptop, ipad, etc. Wireless tether on the LTE (4G) network is awesome.
This will be what my wife gets for Christmas.
She currently uses the first Droid that came out, the bulky one with the slide out keyboard that she never uses. Shes loves her phone but has expressed interest in the newer and smaller one.
Is this anything like jailbreaking that I just heard about last week? I know, I'm behind:facepalm:
